Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokeswoman Susan Smith

In other words
or
In plain English
Sorry we cashed the checks a long time ago

Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokeswoman Susan Smith said, the hunt must go on so we must defended the commission's ability to approve rule changes in spite of the lawsuit!

Florida Fish and Wildlife begins accepting bear hunting permit applications

Bear hunting season starts end of October

Lawsuit Seeks To Halt Return Of Bear Hunting

By JIM TURNER OF THE NEWS SERVICE OF FLORIDA • 14 hours ago

The lawsuit doesn't ask for a judge to halt the commission from offering the permits. However, Speak Up Wekiva and groups supporting the lawsuit -- the Sierra Club, the Massachusetts-based Environmental Action, the League of Women Voters of Florida and the Center for Biological Diversity -- want the state agency to suspend permitting until the lawsuit is settled.

"If they do sell the permits, and the hunt is ruled unconstitutional, they'll have to pay everyone back, and that could be very time-consuming," said Chuck O'Neal, a Longwood resident and member of Speak Up Wekiva whose name also appears on the lawsuit.

Smith said permitting remains on schedule to begin Monday.

Riding a sea turtle is totally illegal.

Riding a sea turtle is totally illegal.

If riding endangered species is in fact illegal (Sea turtles and Manatees for starters), what happened to those two girls and why did those boys jumping on a manatee get off with a little slap on the wrist?

How much trouble this woman could be in

MELBOURNE BEACH -- Pictures on social media show what appear to be girls riding a sea turtle on a Brevard County beach during the critical sea turtle nesting season.

One picture shows what appears to be a young girl looking as if she's riding a large sea turtle, either sitting on or hovering over it with her hands in the air.

The other picture shows another girl, but her hands appeared to be pressed down on the turtle's back. She was either sitting or leaning over its shell.

These pictures of what appear to be two girls riding a sea turtle, allegedly at Melbourne Beach, have sparked outrage on social media and prompted an investigation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. It is illegal in Florida to harm or harass sea turtles.

Save Lake Eola Park Petition

One of the very few parks left in central Florida and maybe all of Florida where a pet lover can walk with their pet in peace and enjoy the day with friends and Florida is about to chop this off and hand it off to developers?

Local group fights high-rise proposal in Lake Eola Park

City planning board to discuss proposal Tuesday

UPDATED 7:22 AM EDT Jul 21, 2015

The new tower would go up at East Central Boulevard and North Rosalind Avenue but the project has strong critics who plan to make their presence known Tuesday in front of the city planning board.

The 28-story high-rise is designed to have residential units, shops, restaurants and a parking garage. It is the brainchild of Chicago developer Mark Bortz, who owns the two buildings that would be taken down to make way for the high-rise.

The proposal also includes outdoor seating, a water wall and other park enhancements.

But a group called Save Lake Eola Park Park said the land that the new building would take up was deeded from St. Luke’s Cathedral to be used as a public park only.

The development is ultimately subject to City Council’s approval after the municipal board reviews it.

The city planning staff recommended that the proposal be approved, but only under 10 pages of conditions, including everything from trees to lighting. They are meeting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday to discuss the proposal.

Taipei Taiwan

Welcome Taipei Taiwan

To our dog Breanna's blog looking for and translating

Black Bears food tupelo, saw palmetto, blueberry

into your language for all to read.

9 Investigates: Is Florida's bear hunt necessary?

It started out being 250 bears?

Now it is up to 320?

Black Bears food tupelo, saw palmetto, blueberry are being gathered up and sold faster than it can grow!

But 9 Investigates discovered that FWC doesn’t know exactly how many bears live in the state.

“Most animal populations should be estimated every generation, which is roughly every eight years for bears,” said Sarah Barrett, of FWC’s Black Bear Management Program. “We have updated numbers on four of the subpopulations and are collecting the data for the remaining three subpopulations.”

“If they’re going to hunt, they may as well kill them all because they have nothing to eat,” Lake County resident David Baumgardner said.

Baumgardner’s family has lived in Lake County for three generations. He said his family has always shared the land with the bears, but recently they have had far more interactions.

“I have seen more bears, morning, noon, afternoon and night in the past six years as the bears scurry about trying to find native food sources than I have in the previous 65 years,” Baumgardner said.

Immigration and crime

See if any of this sounds familiar to my friends/followers?

In recent weeks, there has been an upsurge in controversy over crime committed by immigrants.

Fact!

Both legal and illegal immigrants have far lower crime rates than native-born Americans do.

Even if they did not, it does not follow that immigration restrictions and deportation are the right solution to the problem.

Claims that we could lower violent crime rates by reducing immigration or deporting more illegal's are fundamentally misplaced.

Indeed, if reducing violent crime is really the goal, we could shift some of the vast resources currently devoted to keeping out and deporting peaceful

Numerous studies show that immigrants have lower crime rates than natives, a finding which holds true even if you focus solely on Mexican immigrants – the main objects of Trump’s ire. Indeed, Mexican-born immigrant males aged 18-39 who lack a high school diploma actually had a lower incarceration rate in 2010 (2.8%) than all native-born males of the same age group (3.3%), regardless of education level (the incarceration rate for native-born men without a high school diploma was 10.7% in the same year).

Now try this if you will?

All Florida Black Bears are the cause of pet food being eaten by wild life in central Florida and all of the trash containers being invaded in central Florida?

If we kill innocent Black Bears all over Florida our trash will be safe if left out all day and all night and we can feed our pets outside anytime that is convenient for humans?

As with, shifting some of the vast resources currently devoted to keeping out and deporting peaceful migrants and reinvest them in combating violent crime and terrorism.

We also should/could shift some of the vast resources currently devoted to unnecessary meetings and hunts to laws the will deeply punish the habitual offenders leaving their pet food out, feeding the bears and placing their trash containers out the night before trash pickup day?

Lets face the truth, if deporting legal and illegal immigrants will do little to effect our crime rate?

How is it that killing innocent Black Bears all over Florida except in the problem areas will solve that problem?

And with this my friends/followers, the Defense Rests!

Lets hold another Hunting Season

Coyotes killing cats in central Florida
Well, I say,
"Lets hold another Hunting Season and Kill all of the Coyotes!"

This way stupid, selfish, pet owners will have no need to bring in their pets at night and maybe

'HITLER'

would still be outside trying to round up something to eat?

Why not it worked on the poor innocent Black Bears so that stupid, selfish, Floridians will once again not lock up their trash and can now start feeding the Florida Panther and/or our Raccoons and get ready for their own personal

'Hunting Season'!

When if ever will this foolishness stop?

Soon, very soon, central Florida will look like the rest of the

One small step from the Florida Supreme Court System!

Florida Court throws out districts, Maps
Well this ever end?
One small step from the Florida Supreme Court System!
One giant step for Floridians!
Or is it?
Only time will tell.
This has been going on since long before I arrived in the state so I seriously doubt it!

Remember my Floridian Democratic and Republican Friends, if you keep voting your political party because your parents did, your grandparents did and your great-grandparents did, you will be getting the same shaft that your parents did, your grandparents did and your great-grand parents did?

Wouldn't it be better for you, your children and your grandchildren if we all joined in, dumped all of our congress both parties and start fresh with better Floridian Laws?

If you had more of your rights, money, health and home, your family, your children's family and your grand-children's family will sleep better, have more money to enjoy life better, because you will be healthier?

Florida Supreme Court throws out Congressional districts, Maps will have to be redrawn before next year's election

Lawyers duked it out in the courtroom Wednesday over Florida's new congressional maps.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.

The Florida Supreme Court is throwing out the state's congressional districts, saying the Republican-controlled Legislature violated a constitutional amendment approved by voters in 2010.

The ruling Thursday means new maps will have to be drawn for most of the state's 27 congressional districts

before next year's election.

A coalition of groups that including the League of Women Voters challenged the maps, saying they didn't adhere to the amendment approved by voters that dictates political districts can't be drawn to benefit incumbents or political parties.

A lower court agreed that GOP operatives worked behind the scenes in violation of the amendment, but approved a second map that changed only two districts.

Challengers said that wasn't enough.

Bear Clan Native Americans

Welcome São José do Rio Prêto, Sao Paulo Brazil

To one of our

Black Bear Clan sites

I believe that just about, if not every tribe through-out Indian Country has a

"Bear Clan?"

Our village (tribe) changed the Bear Clan somewhat in the early 1940's thanks in part to a youngster being a youngster.

The land that our Mohiigan's call home has many Black bears also living in and around the land.

We call them our neighbors and they look it is as their land also.

When our ancestors arriver there were many more animals, bears included.

However, since first contact their as with our families have been to a point or almost extinct!

Un-like the Black Bear, we are being called 'extinct' by this government and most Reservation Indians because thousands of our elders/ancestors were declared extinct by either "Rape" or "Marriage and no longer being called "Mohiigan or any other tribe for that matter?"

The Black Bear is systematically becoming extinct because they are in the way!

Come to think about it, so are we?

Do not mistake adaptation and survival with "going extinct".

We are simply learning to beat you at your own game.

The bear family is being extinct because of being killed!

BLACK BEAR HUNTING

BLACK BEAR HUNTING
The state of Florida still has no idea of how many Black Bears are in Florida?

No limit on how many hunting permits are to be sold by the state of Florida starting on August 3rd for a October hunt?

No restrictions of where a hunter is coming from?

No bear hunting in the area where humans refuse to control their trash, stop leaving their pet food out all day and night and/or stop feeding the bears?

The hunters can come to our neighborhood to shoot our bears with a high powered weapon with a silencer.

Do you know how far a bullet can travel fired from someplace around our home/your?

Depending who you ask, between 1 and 15 miles.

Our town is 3.4 square miles and people have been hunting inside of this for years! :-(

What this means to my family and any family in a small town anywhere around this

"Bear Slaughtering Grounds!"

"When anyone gets a gun buys a permit and shoots?"

"We are all in the line of fire from their bullets!"

Guess this does not matter as long as our politicians get their kick-backs?
P.S.
Our town is a minimum, 45 miles from the towns with a bear problem?

Can your pet do this?

A true "Believe it or not."

This morning at play Breanna's mom found an unused string tie pouch and gave it to Breanna for play after tying four knots and pulling them tight.

within minutes she, Breanna, had untied the knots.

Mom did this a few more times and each time Breanna untied the knots.
So Dad, the old navy salt, tied the knots with four square knots, same deal. so I tried it with one square, one granny, one square, and one granny knots,

same thing Breanna holds the pouch with the two front paws and untied the knots with her teeth!

She has been doing this to by native bandanna's for years.

Give it a try, I dare you?

Nick Wiley, "Speak with Forked Tongue!"

Wildlife officials approve weeklong bear hunt in Florida

By now most of you already know what animal lovers in Florida knew for about two years.

Surprise, surprise, Surprise!
"Money talks and the public's voice gets stomped under by the payoff!"
Nick Wiley, the head of Fish and Wildlife Commission,
 "Speak with Forked Tongue!"
is a
"Big Fat Boldface Liar!"
Because he promised, Absolutely
"NO BEAR KILLING IN FLORIDA!"

Not more they one year ago, of course this was before money started floating around all over South Florida.

P.S.

No hunting will be in or around this wealthy gated community that keeps feeding bears and leaving trash and dog food out at night!

The hunting will be in woods of the "Innocent Black Bears!"

They arrived at the Sarasota Hyatt Regency in dress clothes, camouflage ball caps and weatherproof fishing shirts. One wore a fuzzy bear costume. Sometimes they were civil, ticking off statistics as to why hunting black bears is a good or bad policy. At other points they were biting, heckling a 15-year-old girl and tossing around words like blood, carnage and corruption.

"Some good ol' boys already had their minds made up," said Avery Cobbs, 48, of Orlando, who wore the bear suit. "Unfortunately it didn't matter, and it's a huge loss."

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission executive director Nick Wiley said after the 5-1 vote that he thought the commission did the right thing. The approval means Florida is set to have a one-week, daytime bear-hunting season in four regions in October for the first time since 1994.

"It was a really tough decision for the commissioners," Wiley said. "I believe they listened to a lot of passionate input."

About 80 people spoke at the meeting during a comment period that stretched over six hours. One woman said she wore red to symbolize the blood of bears, another taped a sheet of paper to her chest with only two words: "Dead Bear."

"This public wants you to keep your grubby mitts and guns off of black bears," said Carol Abarbanell, 68, of Englewood.

SAVING THE GREEN SWAMP AND OUR WETLANDS

SAVING THE GREEN SWAMP AND OUR WETLANDS

"Global warming and polution are the direct results of 200 years of destroying the natural landscape and industrial wastes. We will not feel the impact of todays continued destruction for another 50 to 100 years. Can our children live with the results of our bad choices? Yes; it's that serious!"

Statement of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 1975

A handfull of men at thier most assinine, know of a problem, ignore it. They will doom us all...

W. Churchill

The Green Swamp is recognized by the State of Florida for it's ecological and hydrological importance. Why do our county commisioners disregard our wetlands in favor of dead presidents?

Lake Juliana and Lake Mattie both lie entirely within the State of Florida's boundary of the green swamp Eco-region, and has been declared the Green Swamp area of critical concern because of it's importance to our water supplies. Yet county commisioners approve development after development. Juliana's shoreline has been attacked by development for the past 20 years, rendering the lakes natural shoreline plant life nearly gone. Now the county and developers plan attacks upon Lake Mattie. The pressure of short term gains of developers dollars will distroy this precious oasis of wildlife, plant life and water. We cannot count on the county commisioners to do the right thing, WE MUST FIGHT TO SAVE IT...

Lake, Polk, Sumter, Pasco, and Hernando counties and their cities, development interests have successfully petitioned for land use changes, that allow urban developments and roads in the Green Swamp Area of Critical State Concern at densities and intensities that threaten the continued viability and functioning of the Green Swamp Ecosystem.

Lake Mattie wetlands shoreline:

This natural community supports populations of an estimated 330 species of wildlife and nearly 400 species of plant life. Among this population are more than 35 threatened species or endangered species, including the Florida Black Bear, Florida Scrub Jay, Wood Stork, and Florida Panther. Widespread species such as white-tailed deer, bald eagle, wild turkey, alligators, bore, and numerous songbirds and wading birds are also present. Habitat loss at record numbers put each of these species in precarious positions. Lake Mattie and the Green Swamp provides serenity and seclusion for quiet observation and study of a variety of plants, mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, invertebrates, and amphibians within the natural landscape. At one time, Florida's wetlands were all but given away in order to promote development. Today, with a tremendous knowledge of the importance of these fragile Eco-systems, organizations and the state try to save these lands, but developers have the commisioners on it's side. The increase in populations and a booming building industry pushes developers to subdivide these naturally sensitive lands because they sell consumers on owning a small tract of natural beauty. In fact they are destroying exactly what they sell. Ever notice how subdivisions are named after what they replaced? Small tracts with well manicured lawns and sandy beaches are not natural here, and are detrimental to the ecology of the area. This is the new crime of the century. Minimum 10 or 20 acre lots with 50% natural growth is far closer to the truth of what the developer is trying to sell than what they acually sell. We cannot count on the commisioners who value every development in "the amount of dead presidents it generates yearly", to stop the destruction. The citizens must take on the fight and fight hard to preserve our natural resources.

Board of County Commisioners recent meeting agenda.

Petitioned by Walker Groves Inc. WHAT CAN WE DO TO STOP THE DISTRUCTION?

1. Speak out ! Contact board members, go to hearings and voice your opposition to over development. MAKE SOME WAVES. 2. FIRE THE COUNTY BOARD. Elect environment minded members to the board. Elect board members that have no personal business with development. 3. Boycott business' that pillage the land for profit. 4. Contact your state environmental agencies and non- profit organizations to change existing rules and increase preservation lands in critical areas. Whats the pupose of "state areas of critical concern" if county boards can over rule them each and every time? 5. Support redevelopment practices not new development of agricultural and wild lands. 6. Support organizations and business' that help the fight against habitat distruction.

REMEMBER, THIS IS AMERICA AND YOU HAVE A VOICE. IF YOU DONT SPEAK OUT, SCREAM AND SHOUT, AND FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS, YOU LOSE!

Been enjoying Breanna's new life

Been enjoying Breanna's new life

You may have noticed that we have not been on the computer writing much lately, or at least I hope that you noticed and sorry about that?

My close follower/friends know that Breanna, my boss in charge, was very, very sick a few weeks back.

In the blink of an eye she went from a 5 1/2 year old Airedale that thought she was a lap dog, to a dog that could not sit, lay down or stand without help?

We knew that there was a doctor's appointment just around the corner and planned to talk to her doctor.

Never made that date.

The next Friday midnight we were on our way to Gainesville Small Animal Hospital and her or any doctor!

Breanna is back just as spoiled as ever and of course it is all Donnas fault! :-)

Spoiling her not the sickness of course!

I must spank Breanna once a day just to make up for her being spoiled, like that will ever happen!

:-)

When something of this nature happens, one tends to contemplate priorities and know that a change is necessary?

This county, state, country and world are all going to hell in a hand basket and doing so willingly and I can do nothing about it?

Men hate other Men, Women hate other Women, Race hates other Race, political parties hate other political parties an some people just plain hate?

News stations are using the old "If it bleeds it Leads" and maybe, just maybe a good story might slip in once a week?

However, Donna, Breanna and Ishi are my life and I can do many things, "good things" with them, so a little less writing is in order.

I will always be here for questions/answers and staying close to you my other family with my "Reader."

I'll do my complaining on

My native on

My help and problems on

My anger, help and whatever about Florida on

I might even go to Face Book now and again

Humane Society speaks out against bear hunting in Florida

Humane Society speaks out against bear hunting in Florida
Posted: 4:24 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015

Members of the Humane Society said the bears that would be targeted with the hunt wouldn’t be the bears that have made their way into neighborhoods, so the hunt would likely kill the wrong bears.

“Now, we are going into the woods and killing the ones that didn’t even get in the trash or cause a problem,” said Laura Bevan, of the Humane Society.

I say,

If ever there was a time when I wished to be wrong this would be the one at the top of the list!

Like I said, the Fish and Wild life money hungry people are going to have their time to shoot to kill innocent Black Bears that are nowhere near the humans that are not controlling their trash.

Instead they will be coming to our back yard

(The Ocala National Forest) and other wooded areas, to kill our innocent neighbors, our Black Bears?

Just a short time ago 'Nick Wiley, FWC executive Director', guaranteed us that there would not be a bear hunt in Florida, guess this was because his pockets were empty?

Or, of course he is just another bold face lying Florida official?

Either way our friendly Black Bears around our neighborhood, a neighbor that is not causing problem, will be the losers!

“Hunting is the best tool that we have right now to manage the population and stabilize the growth of the population,” said Diana Eggeman, of the Florida Wildlife Commission.

But the Humane Society disagrees and said it’s a people-problem, as more development is built on bear territory and by putting out food for them in trash cans that aren’t considered bear-proof.

“This is ridiculous. We need to focus on the problem. The problem is the bears that are being attracted into the neighborhoods. If we stop that, we stop the problem,” said Bevan.

But FWC said the hunt will help reduce close encounters.

FWC will make the final decision in two weeks.

If so, the hunt will be approved for three forests, including the Ocala National Forest

What we need to do is hand out large fines the people feeding bears and not locking their trash and the bear problem will go away?

Is there a petition to save these beautiful beings?

Another Great question
Is there a petition people could sign to try to save these beautiful beings?

Yes my friend and I will see if I can dig it up however, this is Florida and the petitions has been circling for about 5 years now and will do no good because MONEY TALKS and humans refuse to listen to our animals while they TALK!

This is the problem in a nut shell!

The officials keep saying that the bear populations is growing

Florida moving ahead with plans to kill 200 bears in hunting

Florida Fish and Wildlife Hunters, many of them are hunters, are a group of
 'Boldface Hypocrite'
because they are allowing the public to believe that there is still hope for our beloved Black Bears and all this time the money is in the pockets and they and many more hunters are
loading their weapons and getting the paperwork set for the June 24th

 "DONE DEAL!"

The officials keep saying that the bear populations is growing out of control?

Truth is no one really knows how many bears are in Florida.

Because, you see, at least 85% of our beloved Black Bears are not even involved with "Dumpster Diving!"

It is only in the area where humans are still not protecting their trash!
Commission should vote no on bear hunt

In one month, June 24, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will vote on a proposal to open a trophy hunt on Florida’s unique subspecies of black bears. They were removed from the list of threatened species just three years ago. The trouble is, the Commission does not have enough information to make this decision, and is going against the wishes of many Floridians.

The last statewide count of Florida black bears was 13 years ago, when state biologists estimated that we had 2,000 to 3,000 surviving bears. Without having a handle on how many bears actually exist today, how can the Commission justify allowing hunters to kill 200 bears a year?

5' lizards are eating Florida's cats

If you are so dead set on hunting in Florida, leave our bears alone and hunt for real killers, something that could and would eat your child!

Ah, Florida:

the home of sun, sand, and cat-eating lizards.

5-Foot, Cat-Eating Lizard Infesting Florida —

Snacking On Owls, Dachshunds And Yes, Cats

African lizards, which are about five feet long, are prowling the state, looking for something tasty to eat

and apparently they’ve been known to eat cats.

One man believes the Lizard is to blame for the disappearance of his Dachshund puppies, and someone else noted that recently, there have been a quite a lot less feral cats running around, the Sun Sentinel reported.

Called the Nile Monitor, the creature doesn’t just eat cats.

It’s from Sub-Saharan Africa and can grow up to eight feet certainly big enough for the job.

In their native land, they have been known to eat smaller animals, and Florida residents in Cape Coral have blamed it for their murdered pets as well.

A cousin of the Komodo dragon, the Nile Monitor is a threat to small mammals, reptiles, fish, owls and tortoises.

Officials are trying to mitigate that threat with an aggressive campaign to rid the Sunshine state of the prowling, five-foot lizard.

Black Bears in Florida have no pockets!

Bear Hunting in the Bears backyard?

Watch and see?

Our Black Bears in Florida have no pockets!

The hunters in and around Florida have deep, deep, deep, pockets and many of Florida officials are hunters!

Care to guess who is going to win the vote?

We already know that there will be a hunt, we do not know for how long this hunt will go on?

The Florida Fish and Game Commission will meet in Tallahassee April 14-16. Among the items on the agenda for action on April 15 is a proposal to establish a hunting season for black bears, starting in the fall of 2015.

In response to growing concerns about a rising number of black bear attacks in the state in recent years, the commission instructed its staff to bring forth a proposal that would establish hunting as a management tool for controlling the population. The resulting proposal, which will be presented to the commission on April 15, would establish a seven-day hunting season with harvest objectives established based on regional bear management units. The first season would occur October 24-30. The commission would not restrict the number of permits sold, but would instead utilize a quota system and each bear management unit’s season would be subject to strict harvest objectives.

Remember this posting after next week when the Fish and Wild votes on hunting our Black Bears!

OK I answered today's comments so far, if you had a strange answer it was, in part, because I answered anyone that wrote on the post that you wrote on to save time, my body is still upset with me because of the accident no matter who was at fault!

Gopher tortoises cannot swim!

As of lately it would seem the people are putting gopher tortoises in the ocean trying to save them when in fact they will drown!

Meet Gopher Tortoise-The Only Turtle Species That Cannot Swim

FWC: Stop putting gopher tortoises in water

Florida wildlife officials want residents and visitors to know that not all turtles can swim.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reported Friday that there were at least three instances last month of people "helping" gopher tortoise hatchlings to the ocean. Gopher tortoises cannot swim well and can easily drown.

I know a dummy from Uncasvillage that tried to give his "Land Lord" a bath because she was so dirty, full of mud!

It took Harriett about a month to forgive me on that one, mean while I checked "Doctor Google" and found out that gopher tortoises life in the ground and do not like water!

That was about 15 years ago.

Remember Ishi cannot swim!

As my followers will attest to I have posted many, many, times on the lazy humans reason for killing our precious wildlife and the greed of our officials to make sure that they die!

Ask the Californian residents about the lack of wildlife and the reason why they love what is left?

Apparently I was wrong!

The Florida Fish & Wildlife Officials are not

"Stupid" they are "Liars"!

Stand-by for another Bear Meeting in Florida

Like I said, if you register we get to pick and chose and stack the house!

I will not tell a "lie"!

Un-less you pay enough to stretch the truth!

Fish and Wildlife moves closer to allowing temporary bear hunt

Posted: 4:31 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. —

Bear hunting could soon be a reality in central Florida.

Florida Fish and Wildlife officials are considering up to a 7-day black bear hunt to help reduce the number of bear encounters.

The hunt may take place in the Rock Springs Run State Preserve and the Seminole State Forest.

The agency is considering a 2- to 7-day hunt that could happen at the end of October.

The hunt would limit the take to one bear per person, per season.

KEEP the HUNTERS and DUMP the BEAR!

Stand-by for another Bear Meeting in Florida

In this house we were guaranteed by the top official or the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission that hunting for Black Bears in Florida would never happen!

RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, what is this meeting about

What to do with the bears and "HUNTING is on the TABLE!

This time because at the last few meetings there were far more bear lovers then hunters the public must register before the meeting.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in the office of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission while checking the registered letters.

KEEP the HUNTERS and DUMP the BEAR LVERS!

Plus

Of course the first meeting is tonight and it just came out to the media this morning, can anyone register in the pouring rain today and make this meeting tonight?

Public invited to give input on bear management

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is holding the first of four public meetings this week to discuss how people can get involved in the conservation and management of black bears in central Florida.

The initial meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at DeLand City Hall. Other meetings will be Wednesday night in Fort McCoy, Thursday in Palatka and March 25 in Gainesville. All meetings will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Under FWC's Florida Black Bear Management Plan that was approved in 2012, seven bear management units will be established throughout the state.

The meetings will give the public a chance to provide input on local bear issues and allow interested individuals to sign up for the Central Bear Stakeholder Group

The privileged class‏

From a friend in California to all of my friends on my blogs from me!

I don’t normally send this stuff on but this is really important that we do something about it!!!!!!!!!

Asking me to overlook a minor Safety infraction is asking me to compromise my belief in the values of your life.

Must feel good to be in a privileged class.

28th Amendment, 35 States and Counting

It will take you less than a minute to read this.

If you agree, please pass it on.

It's an idea whose time has come to deal with this self serving situation:

Children of Congress members do not have to pay back their college student loans.

Staffers of Congress family members are also exempt from having to pay back student loans.

Members of Congress can retire at full pay after only one term.

Members of Congress have exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed, under which ordinary citizens must live.

For example, they are exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment.

And as the latest example, they have exempted themselves from

Healthcare Reform, in all of its aspects.

We must not tolerate an elite class of such people, elected as public servants and then putting themselves above the law.

I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent, or whatever.

The self-serving must stop.

Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon their states.

It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.

IF???

Each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days most people in The United States of America will have the message.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or

Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the

citizens of the United States."

You are one of my 20.

Give me a few minutes and you will read this on my blogs and websites

Where did I come from?

The Airedale Terrier is a breed of terrier that originated in Airedale in Yorkshire, England.

It is the "King of Terriers" because it is the largest of the terrier breeds.

A mix of a Black and Tan Terrier

MY MOMMY
and

Otter hound

MY DADDY
The breed has also been called the Waterside Terrier, because it was bred originally to hunt otters in and around the valleys of the River Aire. http://kidd.20m.com/The%20Geomorphology%20of%20the%20River%20Aire%20Valley.htm

which runs through Airedale.

In the United Kingdom this breed has also been used as a police dog.

In the 2nd World War as a messenger between foxholes for the army.

Airedale is a geographic area in Yorkshire, England.

The valley stretches from the river's origin in Malham which is in the Yorkshire Dales, down past Keighley and Bingley, through Leeds and Castleford and on to join the River Ouse at Airmyn.

This valley is of great topographic significance for provides low-altitude passes through the mid Pennines to the west coast.

Harriett had her babies

I am a Grandfather, again.

Sad but true, we could only find one baby.

We have no idea if, or what might have happened to any others?

however, Ishi is doing fine.

We named her Ishi because she is the last of the babies after,

Ishi (c. 1860 – March 25, 1916) was the last member of the Yahi,

a group of the Yana of the U.S. state of California.

Breanna and the Kid

OH, Look how nice big sister Breanna is babysitting her new little sister Ishi,
NOT!
I think it is the other way around, Breanna just cannot stay away from Ishi in her day time home.
Airedales do not like to share and baby sister is driving her bonkers.
I just took Ishi out for her walk about, although lately it is more like a run about?
Breanna is next, there is no way she will ever run away, she cannot wait to get back in to keep tabs on the kid!
It is the only place that we can put Ishi in the day time to be safe from her sister.

Déjà vu as in "Here we go again." manatee status

Yes I know I am repeating myself, get the point?

Possible manatee status change strikes balance for supporters, worries environmentalists

Today’s article in the Daily Commercial newspaper it is plain as the nose on your face as to where Chuck Underwood, a regional spokesman The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service wants to go with this because of the statements made by him in the article, or he hasn’t a clue as to the laws governing his office?

(Officials have heard a “wide variety of presumptions based on what people think could happen” if the status is changed to threatened, said Chuck Underwood, a regional spokesman for the Wildlife Service. “The petitioners think if we reclassify, they get one step closer to removing speed zones. Plain and simple, they’re wrong.”)

Plain and simple Chucky, you are wrong, it could mean the next step is the removal of the speed signs and you know this, or at least should know this.

(On the other side, there are those who “think it’s going to weaken protections,” Underwood said. “You don’t reclassify from endangered to threatened and then immediately take away all the things that contributed to the improvement.”)

In this statement you are half right and you should know this also, no you will not immediately take away all the things the habit from your Fish and Wildlife Service has been one step at a time.

Boating organizations, private property owners and the Pacific Legal Foundation want fun at all cost and can pay well to get it.

Once again for information that seems to be missing in and around the office of Chuck Underwood, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

According to federal law, endangered status means the species is “in danger of extinction throughout all or a significant portion of its range.”Threatened is defined as “likely to become an endangered species within the foreseeable future throughout all or a significant portion of its range.”

So, why would the government change the classification to threatened, if a return to endangered status would be expected?
