Stand-by for another
Bear Meeting in Florida
In this house we
were guaranteed by the top official or the Florida Fish and Wildlife
Conservation Commission that hunting for Black Bears in Florida would never
happen!
RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, what is this
meeting about
What to do with the
bears and "HUNTING is on the TABLE!
This time because at
the last few meetings there were far more bear lovers then hunters the public
must register before the meeting.
I would love to be a
fly on the wall in the office of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission while checking the registered letters.
KEEP the HUNTERS and
DUMP the BEAR LVERS!
Plus
Of course the first
meeting is tonight and it just came out to the media this morning, can anyone
register in the pouring rain today and make this meeting tonight?
Public invited to
give input on bear management
The Florida Fish and
Wildlife Conservation Commission is holding the first of four public meetings
this week to discuss how people can get involved in the conservation and
management of black bears in central Florida.
The initial
meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at DeLand City Hall. Other meetings will be
Wednesday night in Fort McCoy, Thursday in Palatka and March 25 in Gainesville.
All meetings will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Under FWC's
Florida Black Bear Management Plan that was approved in 2012, seven bear
management units will be established throughout the state.
The meetings
will give the public a chance to provide input on local bear issues and allow
interested individuals to sign up for the Central Bear Stakeholder Group
