Three charged with torturing, killing endangered tortoises

By Bianca Prieto, Orlando Sentinel

If you wonder why I am sometimes so bitter while writing on this blog here is one of many reasons.

Read the completer story, if you dare!

Three (young men) are charged with torturing and killing endangered tortoises this weekend in Orange County, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Someone needs to remind the FFWCC that these thugs are not young men!

The thee punks are charged with killing and wounding a threatened species and felony cruelty to animals.

The charges are third-degree felonies and could result in up to five years in prison.

Not enough, they need to really be punished.

They said they simply wanted to 'see what would happen if we dropped it,'" Officer Steve McDaniel said in a news release.

"I just don't understand how and why people can do things like this."

Both animals later died.

However, as you can image it was a very slow painful death!

Officers encourage anyone with information about wildlife, fish and boating violations, to call the FWC's 24-hour toll-free Wildlife Alert Hotline at 888-404-FWCC (3922).

Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.

Welcome to this blog posting looking for information on Grey Airedale

What a great looking city you live it?

I have enjoyed playing with some Gray Airedales while visiting friends however, let me take this chance to help the Wolf families world wide as long as you are visiting?

Many people are posting to help the wolf, one of many endangered animals getting a row deal by human hunters throughout this country, please read about them on some of the blogs?

This is just one of the many reasons why we wish to boycott the movie The Gray!

Crocodile' Dundee's will protect our wildlife in Florida

We need to find a few dozen Crocodile' Dundee's arm them on the side of our wildlife in Florida, now!

Protect Florida Black Bears

West Palm Beach June 27.

Tell the FWC that we do not want our beautiful, wild, Florida Black Bears to be used for target practice and mounted on walls.

Right now they are being killed for getting into garbage left out by idiots all over the state.

For more on this subject please see Gator Woman Blog Post:

The Humane Society of the United States: Florida, Protect Black Bears

Florida's black bears have only recently begun to recover from near extinction, and they still face serious threats from habitat loss and fragmentation.

At its June 27-28 meeting in West Palm Beach, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will vote on removing the Florida black

Florida Audubon would not go against the FWC because they did a lengthy "scientific" study that supported their conclusions.
We all know that hunters, especially in this state, would never cheat and take more than they are allowed, right?
If this does happen and Florida hunters are allowed to "kill at will here," how long do you think it will take these hunters to put our beautiful Black Bears right back on the Endangered Species List?

THE SIX BIGGEST PET KILLERS ARE

Montevideo, Montevideo Uruguay South America

All of South America, and this land called Uruguay, was occupied by large groups of indigenous Indians long before the Europeans arrived.

When the
Spanish
Explorer, Juan Diaz de Solis, came ashore in the area in 1516, his welcoming was rather unfriendly, as Solis, and most of his landing party were promptly killed by Indians.

In 1680, the
Portuguese
founded Colonia on the edge of the River Plate, directly across from the Spanish-controlled city of Buenos Aires.
