A simple squirrel proof bird feeder?

If there is such a thing?

I found that I could actually build such a thing, only the first few were a challenge keeping the birds out of harm's way while doing so.

One must remember that woodpeckers land on the side then go into the feeder OOPs!

This newest one has a 1 1/2" PVC pipe 8' long, you make it your size remember you need to keep the feeder full.

With a 1 1/2" PVC coupling on top placed into the ground about 10"

A 2' section of pipe into the other end of coupling, again remember that you need to reach for replacing bird seed.

A little cleaner and PVC glue to hold each piece in the coupling.

I used an old plant pot 10" cut a 1 1/2" hole in the center of the bottom and, upside down slid it onto the top pipe down to the coupling and glued in place

I used some scrap wood and made a 16" X 16" (the size is up to you the builder) to made a messy bird seed catcher with 4" sides.

Drill and/or saw a 1 1/2" hole in the center of the wooden seed holder and slide it onto the top pipe down to the plant pot that is upside down on the coupler and glue in place.

I painted everything and when dry replaced the old setup.

I took the old, hardware store guaranteed squirrel proof green feeder and stuck it on top because it was getting late and the birds were very rowdy.

The thing was squirrel proof, for about 1/2 hour!

If I ever find a down time when the birds are not eating I plan on painting that to match the rest.

Oh by the way, 7 squirrels show up as soon as I left and have been trying to get into the feeder, so far so good?

Dilute, ignore, remove greedy people?

Quito Pichincha Ecuador

Thank you for wanting to know

why do we humans, think that we were put on this planet as GODS?

When is an animal no longer endangered

The one and only GOD will see them real soon.

One can only hope that we are at their court appearance in the big court up there!

As you can see from many websites and blogs, if a human makes a law to help animals and plants survive, lobbyists getting paid big dollars by greedy people to pay politicians bigger dollars to dilute, ignore or remove the law.

This world needs to join together to dilute, ignore and remove all of these same greedy people?

Please help the few humans find a way to do this?

Salmonella in dog food sickens 14

Salmonella in dog food sickens 14

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Fourteen people in at least nine states have been sickened by salmonella after handling tainted dog food from a South Carolina plant that a few years ago produced food contaminated by toxic mold that killed dozens of dogs, federal officials said Friday.

At least five people were hospitalized because of the dog food, which was made by Diamond Pet Foods at its plant in Gaston, S.C., the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. No pets were sickened, according to the Meta, Mo.-based company.

The recall covers a number of pet food brands made at the Gaston plant, including Canidae, Natural Balance, Apex, Kirkland, Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul, Country Value, Diamond, Diamond Naturals, Premium Edge, Professional, 4Health and Taste of the Wild.

Pet Allergies and Intolerances

Food Allergies and Food Intolerances for Pets

Please go to the website for more information, your pets will love you for this and you will be able to sleep better knowing that you care!

Allergies and Intolerances

Food intolerance refers to a gastrointestinal response triggered by certain ingredients. For instance, a dog with a sensitive stomach may not be able to tolerate certain ingredients that then lead to diarrhea, vomiting or irritable bowel.

Scratch, Scratch: Recognizing the Signs and Symptoms

Just because your pets aren’t coughing and sneezing, as we do when confronted by some allergens, that doesn’t mean they aren’t suffering all the same.

Pets with food allergies tend to experience skin irritation when exposed to known allergens, which in turn causes varied scratching behaviors.

Identifying and Removing the Offending Foods

Some of the most common offenders are common ingredients found in dog foods. The most common food allergens for dogs are beef, dairy products, eggs, chicken, corn, wheat and soy.

The key is to determine which one or more of these ingredients are responsible for your pet’s distress. To make that determination, a food elimination trial should be performed. In the elimination trial, you should choose a wholesome, complete and balanced diet that avoids ingredients to which the pet has previously been exposed, then feed this recipe, and this recipe only, for six to eight weeks.
